Riverton Game

Bingham suffered their first loss of the season with a 21-7 final score to Riverton. Bingham came out fired up and took it to Riverton. The defense stuffed Riverton on their first drive and got the ball for the offense. Bingham immediately took the ball down the field and scored on a reverse to Beau Hawkins. Chandler Messer added the extra point to make it 7-0. Riverton then fumbled on their next drive but Bingham also fumbled to give the ball back. On the final play of the first half, Riverton took a sweep play around the end and scored a long run to make it 7-6 after they missed the extra point. Definitely a tough way to end the half. The second half started with terrible field position as the kickoff was aided by the wind to go down within the 10 yard line. Bingham was caught with a safety and the score was 8-7. Bingham kicked off into the wind and gave Riverton great field position. Riverton scored to make it 15-7 and Bingham was unable to get anything going in the 2nd half. Riverton added one more touchdown to make the final score 21-7. Although a loss, Bingham has learned a lot from this game and will continue to get better. The playoffs will be here soon enough for a rematch.
