Brighton Game
Not all wins are pretty and some are frustrating but a win is a win no matter what happens. Bingham drove the ball up and down the field for most of the day but was frustrated by turnovers and penalties. The first half saw Keaton Cook catch a touchdown pass from Chandler Messer that gave Bingham the lead 6-0. After a successful extra point run by Messer the score was 7-0. Right before halftime Bingham had a chance to score again but ran out of timeouts to stop the clock and their drive stopped close to the 10 yard line. The defense was excellent for the day again. Brighton had little success and was dominated all day. The second half a challenge was put out to Bingham to score two touchdowns. They scored one and had one reversed due to offsides. Keaton Cook again took a tight-end around play and used his speed to get into the endzone. Bingham missed the extra point but the score was 13-0. Brighton was lucky at the end of the game to throw a long pass and score with no time remaining. Although this ruined Bingham's attempt to record another shutout, they were happy to go home with a 13-6 win. Next week is Riverton who is also co-leaders in the conference and it will be a fun game. A strong Bingham defense verses a strong Riverton offense. Can't wait.
